sore...physical check...christmas tree....

I finally went back to the working out again after being stop for almost a month because of fiscal year end and Thanksgiving Holiday. It's sad to ay that my knee is very weak after 35 mins of kickboxing class. I need to continue to go back to working out.

I finally went for a physical check up last week, after not having gone for several years. It was time over due, but also mainly because i had a scare for myself, which at this point, i still don't know what cause the problem. The day before Thanksgiving, my dad had a really blood pressure, gave all of us at home a scare. Then i realize that i was having chest pain, and got scare. So, i got a full blood work, along with echo & abdominal ultrasound. The results are not back yet, but for the most part, everything is ok. Still waiting to get a stress test done.

Mom bought and decorate our xmas tree last week, and now all we're missing is christmas presents underneath the tree.

Renassiance Festival

This weekend, my co-worker, Judy Ann stay Houston for a weekend to look around town. So, Some of us decide to take her out and show her around town. I took her to an authetic Chinese Restaurant on Friday night. And then went to a new pub in Stafford area, next to church call "Pour House". We went there and hang out for a while.
Today, we went to Renassiance Festival and have a good time hanging out. I had my turkey leg and funnel cake. I'll post some pictures from today and last weekend from NYC.

Day 2 & 3 of NYC

After a very late night on Friday night, we decide to sleep in a little bit on Saturday. I woke up about 9:30am and just chill in my room and relaxed, until around 1ish when P&D and them are all awake and ready to go. We met up with Dicson's friend, Kimberly in Canal Street. We wanted to go Dim Sum, but we got there too late, so we find another place to eat. Afterward, we walk around Chinatown, and took the subway to Ground Zero. Walk around and see once upon a time where the World Trade Center used to be about 6 years ago. Then we went to walk around Times Square to Toys R Us where they have a Ferris Wheel inside the building. It was cool. We bought tickets and went on the Ferris Wheel.

Finally Here....

My trip to New York is finally here. So excited the days before because the weather was going to be cold, and I love cold weather. I went to work kinda early because i knew that i have a lot more stuff to do before Tues rolls around. I left work at around 1:30pm and went to Phyllis's house and ready to head out to the airport. As usual, we were running kinda late to the airport, and had to split up in dropping off the car and checking in the luggage. When we got to the gate, we find out that our flight was delayed till 7:45pm about 2 hours later. Since I was traveling with Phyllis, and she has elite status, so we went to the club house to relax and have some drinks and snacks. By 11:45pm, we finally arrived in LGA. We then met up with Dicson's friend, Kimberly for late night snack in Queens, NY. By 4:00am , we finally got to the hotel, Hyatt Place. Unfortunately, my room and P&D's room is not on the same floor.

The room is great, King Size Bed, with a 42" HD Plasma TV, and a comfy sofa, and of course free Wi-Fi. Now, it's about 4:45am, i'm sitting on the King Size Bed and watching tv. It's great...

Tomorrow, we'll probably wake up late, and then meet up with Kimberly for lunch in Chinatown, and then off to Ground Zero, Battery Park & Statue of Liberty.

Travel Agent

I've officially become a Travel Agent yesterday. So, anybody who needs to book airline tickets, hotels, car rentals or anything, feel free to email me and let me know. I'm very excited about being a travel agent, especially, i love to travel and all.

Everything for my NYC trip is all set, flights, cars, hotels. I'm excited to go. Hopefully, the weather will be nice and cool.

Cousin Reunion

This weekend, most of my immediate families came back into town from Hawaii, Dallas, HK, & Austin for Grandma's 87th birthday party. Tonight, we went to dinner at the So's house for Steak, and then some of us went to play "M.J." with grandma. Afterward, we went back to my house to hang out and have Taco Bell for late night snacks. It was a good time to hang out. Tomorrow night, we'll have our dinner. More pictures to be posted later.

Travel Agent Rate....

As some of you know that I'm going to NYC in about 3 weeks, and been frustrated with the price of the hotels in NYC and NJ. Friday Morning, after discussing with Phyllis over skype, we finally find a pretty decent hotel about 1/2 the price of in NYC with Free Wi Fi, Free Breakfast & just 15 mins from NYC. With that kind of price, we could use it to rent a car. I was very happy already. Just when I didn't think anything can get better than that.....it did. This morning, Phyllis told me that using her Travel Agent Rate, we were able to book a room at the Hyatt Place, http://www.hyatt.com/hyatt/place/ at an awesome low rate of just $ 59.00 . I'm so shock of the kind of deals that a travel agent can get. So, I think that I'll ask Phyllis to add me under her to paid for minimum fee and still get the same kind of discounts. Board Games...I remember when i was a kid in HK, i would love to play board games, such as Monopoly, Clues, UNO, "Fa Hung Kei" (Flying Plane). Recently, we started playing Monopoly again. Last time during Church Retreat, we play, and I won, and put all of the other 4 players completely in close to bankruptcy. Tonight, it was revenge night, we weren't able to complete, so soon, we'll try to play again. Monopoly has a new one that came out recently that has calculators and debit cards.

Countdown to NYC : 19 days

old friends , familiar hang out place...memories....

I just got off the phone with IE, that's calling to see if I'm free tomorrow night to go out for drinks with other friends. C Wa is back from HK to Houston for visit for 2 weeks. C Wa & I used to be friends as I would describe it couple of years ago. I think that there might be some mis understanding between us over the years where we have grew apart. In the back of my mind, I would want to mend this friendship, but i couldn't figure out what i did wrong. Anyway, IE, C Wa , Heidi & me are going out for drinks tomorrow. We're going to Chachos. This is another place that brings back a lot of memories. When I was living by myself, this is a place where Roni, Martin, and some of our other friends would go there all the time.

It was very disappointed to find out earlier tonight when we try to book our hotel room for our NYC Trip, that the price that we knew of $359 / per night was gone. Actually, the price is now $ 100 bucks higher. I've been scare that this would happen, but I just hope that tomorrow, i can look again and the price would go back to the original price, or close to it. So, we don't have to spend that much for hotel in NYC. I pray that the price will go down..

Countown to NYC : 26 days....

Day 1 - Welcome to Blog....

I felt like that i need to start jogging down my accomplishments or activities for each day. I used to write in a journal, (i still have those many journals store away somewhere..) and then came Xanga, and now I'm going to try to use this site to write down those important / mindless things that i go thru each day.

In about 2 weeks, it's my grandma (Mommy's mom)'s 87th Birthday. This year, all of the daughters, and their families are coming to Houston for a semi-family reunion to celebrate her birthday. Almost a month ago, i started a new job at Scotia Capital, www.scotiacapital.com . I was hire as an Operational Officer, but this past week, my manager just told me that i'll be moving on to some more responsibilities, so that's definitely exciting.
